  1. Instagram Reels – In the past few weeks Instagram is only promoting reels of varied durations from 15 sec to 60 seconds. All other formats like video posts & images have been pushed back. To get more engagement on Instagram, the only content working presently is Reels. Self Shoot reels are the latest trends & more so for professionals like Nutritionists, Architects, Numerologists etc giving  tips to people specific to their domain.

Since total no. of Instagram subscribers in the world is around 1.38 billion, it is one of the most trending medium as on date.

 

  1. Youtube Shorts – Youtube is the biggest platform which has introduced Youtube shorts- – 60 seconds video. Though Youtube is known for its long form content, now repurpose your content for shorts catering to people having a small attention span. Use the shorts camera in the Youtube app . The content automatically expires in 7 days. Every social media platform is now coming up with short format content & Youtube shorts is here to stay this year.

 

  1. Video Content – In general for the past few years we have observed that video content has a better engagement rate as compared to Image & don’t expect things to be any different this year. Video is more engaging as both audio- visual mediums are captured increasing the attention span of the audience. With the introduction of 5G, resulting in faster download speeds, the popularity of videos will be unchallenged.

 

  1. Shoppable Content – This new feature of Instagram allows  to tag products in your Instagram photos   & once clicked will take the user  to the marketer’s site . This will help businesses link websites through  Instagram  & can be redirected easily through a single click.  A sigh of relief to all those who were missing the Link feature on Instagram.  This feature is expected to be launched in India shortly.

 

  1. International Ads- With internet ruling, the world is a huge marketplace. Why restrict yourself to only Indian markets. Try promoting your products in nearby markets where the Indian currency is better than local currency & so the FB ad costs are lesser. Expand your markets , expand your horizons. Happy selling.
